ACTIVITIES TO SERVE OUR AREA YOUTH!
YOUTH EXCELLENCE AWARDS: Recognize deserving Plant City High School students and their families for their outstanding accomplishments in academics, athletics, and community service at a banquet held in their honor.
YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM: In cooperation with the Plant City Parks & Recreation Department, the Club furnishes support each fall for over 200 boys and girls ages 4-14 on 20 teams.
FOOTBALL SKILLS CHALLENGE: Competitive skills contest each fall serving about 100 youths ages 6-15. Awards are given to the top boys and girls in each age group.
"MONSTER MASH" TRUNK OR TREAT: The Club provides a "trunk" and 1,500 pieces of candy to hand out at the event of over 200 youths on the Friday before Halloween each year.
YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM: In cooperation with the Plant City Parks & Recreation Department, the Club furnishes support each winter for over 300 boys and girls ages 8-16 on 26 teams.
BASKETBALL SKILLS CHALLENGE: Competitive skills contest each winter serving about 100 youths ages 8-16. Awards are given to the top three boys and girls in each age group.
ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT: Co-sponsor with the Plant City Parks & Recreation Department, providing prizes for the "Golden Egg" winners.
LAW APPRECIATION DINNER: The Club recognizes the efforts of area law enforcement by honoring an officer and telecommunicator with a banquet attended by at-risk middle school students.
YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAM: In cooperation with the Plant City Parks & Recreation Department, the Club furnishes support each spring for over 1,400 boys and girls ages 4-19 on 100 teams.
SOCCER SKILLS CHALLENGE: Competitive skills contest each spring serving about 120 youths ages 8-16. Awards are given to the top three boys and girls in each age group.
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS: The Club dedicates at least $6,000 each year to assist Plant City, Durant, Strawberry Crest, and Simmons high school graduating seniors whose applications are selected for vocational scholarships or college scholarships. KID CARE PACKS: The Club donates stuffed teddy bears and coloring books to the Plant City Police Department for officers to help console children in traumatic situations.
UNITED FOOD BANK OF PLANT CITY: The Club donates funds to their youth food bag program for out-of-school times (weekends and summer). Non-perishable goods are also collected at the Christmas Tree Lot each year.
PLANT CITY FAMILY YMCA: The Club donates funds to their youth sponsorships and other programs assisting youth.
PLANT CITY HIGH SCHOOL: The Club donates funds to assist the Senior Awards program, Booster Club activities, State Championship team recognitions, and other needs as they arise.
PLANT CITY "OUTSTANDING CITIZEN OF THE YEAR": The Club works with other service and civic clubs in Plant City to select an "Outstanding Citizen of the Year". In 2022, our long-standing member Jack Holland was selected.
